If you have ever been in a car accident before, you know how stressful the aftermath can be. First, you have to exchange insurance information with the other driver. Then, you have to call your insurance company and explain what happened. Even if you have good insurance that will cover the cost of the damage on your car, you still have to go through a lot of paperwork to get it taken care of. On top of that, many people end up injured in car accidents, leaving them to deal with medical bills as well.
Being injured in a car accident can make dealing with everything else much more stressful as you try to coordinate while recovering from injuries. Unfortunately, multiple people may be experiencing this stress after a serious crash took place in downtown Pensacola over the weekend.
According to the Pensacola Police Department, a pickup truck and a car crashed near A and Garden streets Saturday evening. Four people were injured in the collision. At least one person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
Although we don't know the cause of this accident yet, many accidents in Pensacola are caused at least in part by driver error. Because dealing with medical bills on top of everything else you have to handle after an accident can be frustrating -- especially when the crash was someone else's fault -- some people choose to file a personal injury lawsuit. By holding a negligent driver financially accountable for the injuries he or she caused, many accident victims feel that a burden has been lifted.
