Working on a construction site near heavy equipment is very dangerous. This heavy equipment can shift unexpectedly, which can lead to serious accidents. An incident that happened at a work site in Florida shows exactly how serious these heavy equipment accidents can turn.

The fatal accident happened as a crew was working in the Golden Isles Neighborhood. A crane began to wobble as it was being moved on the job site. The wobbling led the crane to topple over. Workers scrambled to get out of the way of the falling crane, which damaged a home as it fell to the ground.

Unfortunately, not all the workers were able to get out of the way of the crane as it fell. One worker was hit by the crane as it crashed to the ground. The worker who was hit by the crane was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.

The worker who was driving the crane at the time of the accident and the boom operator both agreed to have blood drawn. Neither of those men were injured in that accident.

The family members of this 27-year-old man have to deal with knowing that he was killed while he was doing his job. They have to make it through his funeral. They might opt to pursue compensation for the wrongful death of their loved one. Compensation for missed wages, final expenses and other claims might be some of the damages they may claim. While this won’t take away the pain of their loved one, it might take away the financial stress of the situation.
