Motor vehicle accidents are on the rise across Florida

Roadways across the state of Florida are becoming more crowded every year. Navigating these crowded and congested roads can be very dangerous. With an ever-increasing amount of distractions facing drivers these days, not all motorists are as focused as they need to be behind the wheel. This may be a reason for the increase in motor vehicles accidents across the state. Any automobile accident can be a stressful experience, but the experience can quickly turn traumatic when the at-fault driver flees the scene.

Police are continuing to search for a driver that fled the scene of a recent fatal crash in Temple Terrace. The crash happened during the morning hours along U.S. 301. According to reports, a truck and a car were both traveling north on 301 when the car struck the truck from the rear. Authorities say the impact pushed the truck into the southbound lanes where it flipped and landed on the shoulder.

Tragically, the driver of the truck was killed, and a passenger was critically injured. Police say the driver of the car fled the scene in a white Nissan. Police are seeking information as the search for the hit-and-run driver continues.

When the hit-and-run driver is caught, he or she could be facing a multitude of serious charges. Motor vehicle accidents are unexpected events that no one wants to face. However, these accidents can be all the more stressful and frustrating when the person at fault flees the scene. Those in Florida who have been affected by this type of accident may be able to take legal action. A lawsuit, if successful, could provide victims with much-needed compensation.
